This Should be a good start:
Quote:Meeting Tuesday afternoon, the Bond County Board, on a split vote, approved a resolution pertaining to assessment districts.
A motion to table the resolution was defeated on a 3-2 vote with Jacob Rayl, Wes Pourchot and Bernard Myers voting no and Jeff Rehkemper and Chris Timmermann voting yes. A motion to approve the resolution was then made and approved with Rayl, Myers and Pourchot approving and Timmermann and Rehkemper against.
A previous county board passed a resolution for every four-year reassessments. 2020 was the first year the county reassessed property on a quad cycle
The original resolution did not set out which townships were to be reassessed when. READ THE whole thing
I think this is a really Boneheaded move by the board, as I stated at the meeting 19 july 23. From what I hear there is public outrage over the recent reassesment, with at least one class action lawsuit beihg threatened.
This strikes me as a political ploy, to raise taxes without enraging the whole county at onece! Maybe the county board should reviw the screwup a few years back when they squandered Hundreds of thousands over redistricting.
Bad board BAD!

From the County's Website bondcountyil.com: I find this

It is not specified (that I could find) which Board District corresponds to which county townships.
However we can begin to get that clarified:
County Board Members
Board District 1 Chris Timmerman
Board District 2 Bernard Myers
Board District 3 = Shoal Creek Township = Jacob Rayl - as of July 2023
Board District 4 Wesley L. Pourchot
Board District 5 Jeff Rehkemper
In the future I hope to have this refined so we can easily communicate with them.
