About 7 years ago I threw up my hands in disgust with the internet of things, after having been hacked on a forum I had created for someone else's use.
I deleted every thing and took a sabbatical, working only off line.
A year latter we suffered a fire and I lost every thing I had been working on for the past 10 yrs, notes instructions, backups, passwords everything! And I had no heart left to start over.
For years I had been a critic of the internet of things, because I knew that so much of what occurs on line is an illusion, see Gaslighting, and Man in the middle.
Etc. Which brings up the concept of a fifth generation of ware fare, consisting of manipulation of ideas and information, small individual ambush attacks, subversion etc. etc.
We see to day the cancel culture, propaganda news, big tech controlling speech (even the president), deciding what information can be shared and by whom!
Ye gads and little fishes they even have us all wearing muzzles, and in fear of leaving our homes and interacting with each other.
Its hard for me to imagine a more Orwellian dystopia. I'd like to do something about it!

I cannot adequately express my disgust with the current state of our politics today. I mean seriously we seem to have the finest propaganda networks in existence, and what they can't propagandize they censor, ignore, distort and flat out lie about! I am constantly faced with the dilemma of trusting them or my own lying eyes!
But my eyes like yours are not so deceived by all the bilge being pumped our way. And though I don't know about your eyes mine have more than 6 decades of experience behind them, they have seen America from one coast to the other, North South and in between. They have viewed more foreign shores than average, (Italy, Naples, Capri, Venice, Rome, & Vatican: Greece, Australia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Africa, Korea) and so many more, that they have become a blur, some I'd rather forget.
But it is not the places that are important, it is the experience, it shapes us causes us to adapt our view of the world to the realities we have personally experienced. This is what makes us unique, absolutely different than everyone else, yet so similar to others that we don't think about those differences; Except when we do.
And apparently the world wants us to focus on those differences (and act a certain way) so much so that it's in our face 24/7 radio, TV, commercials, cartoons, magazines and every other place we look: from my perspective it's increasingly Orwellian. To those people and entities pushing their message so loudly I hear you loud and clear, I am pretty sure 74,000,000+ American Citizens Hear you, But I'm not so sure that what we are hearing and understanding it what you want us to understand, in fact I'm quite sure its not!
I am so sure, that I have invested my own money time and effort, to build this forum as an open public forum for the citizens of Bond County Illinois, and by necessity and design I intend to add forums to serve the specific wants and needs of the 5 counties bordering Bond, and 3 additional aimed towards the voting precincts adjoining bond.
Any rules here are very simple, you see them when you register and I will post them below without comment. It amounts to be civil adults!

If you are a human and have gotten this far, I should tell you a few things: First and foremost this site is on the internet, and on the Internet everything is read recorded and or rated by some one or some thing! Look towards the bottom of the main page "Home" and click on the "User Activity" link, you probably see several users visiting forum pages, but you are probably seeing bots and spiders crawling through the web. They can see what you see! That's how search engines work, but don't be deceived by what your search engine offers you, be more selective than their suggestions.
You might be surprised at what you find, as for the spiders and bots here on the forum they are automatically sent to the registration page where no matter what they do they can't register so they end up in an endless loop of sorts till they time out. others are straight browser searches, Facebook searches and such, which I haven't blocked, or have allowed to see only the front page or Public Forums.

When You register you will be presented a set of pages to fill out, these tell the forum how to treat you as an individual and there are many options, As a heads up I present images below, You may need to click on the little + or - sign to expand or contract the sections that applies throughout the forum:
For clarification: by + or - signs, I refer the icons on the left end of the colored bar near your name. You may find throughout the Forum (or Bulletin Board depending on your age and inclination) They simply expand or collapse the available items and will return to their default when you leave that page.
