Did'nt really get this the 1st time I heard it, and I doubt it will ever make my regular playlist, but it is poignant.
It's not the 1st to come out but come November I expect a storm of them to be coming out.

Charged for Stealing $3.2M for Foster Care; Fri, 18 August 2023 15:01
Looks like sombody got caught, which is just another cautonary tale in todays age.
DCFS worker, 14 Others Charged In Illinois for Stealing $3.2M in Funds Allocated for Foster Care
Quote:
Shauntele Pridgeon, 54, a former Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) worker, along with 14 others, have been indicted on federal charges. They have been accused of stealing $3.2 million in child care funds allocated for the Foster Care system over a six-year period.
According to CBS News, Pridgeon was first arrested in May and accused of receiving $1.6 million in illicit payments from 14 separate childcare providers between 2016 and 2022. It is alleged the funds came from either overcharging rates or from daycares that didn’t even exist. Further, it is claimed that Pridgeon used the funds at a casino.
Pridgeon’s position within the DCFS was to review and approve daycare providers under the agency’s jurisdiction.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Illinois:
A 41-count indictment unsealed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Chicago alleges that SHAUNTELE Y. PRIDGEON orchestrated the fraud scheme from 2016 to 2022 while serving as a Community Social Service Planner for DCFS in Chicago. Pridgeon fraudulently entered the information of several of her co-defendants into the DCFS computer system and approved them to be paid as providers caring for foster children, the indictment states. Pridgeon directed at least $3.2 million in State of Illinois funds to the co-defendants and others, each of whom agreed to receive the money even though they knew that no foster children were actually in their care, the indictment states. The co-defendants and others then paid bribes and kickbacks to Pridgeon totaling approximately $1.6 million, the indictment states. Pridgeon allegedly used the bribe money to pay personal expenses, including gambling losses at a casino in Hammond, Ind. FULL STORY
Gov. JB Pritzker recently signed the Illinois Civil Liability for Doxing Act. But do not blame him or his party alone for this misguided, unconstitutional legislation. Astonishingly, it passed unanimously in both the Illinois House and Senate.
You’re now at risk of liability under the law for writing or sharing in any manner even truthful, simple facts. The law will stifle constitutionally protected speech and will be a tool for political abuse.
The new law lets those who are doxed bring lawsuits for damages against the doxer, subject to certain broad, vague requirements described below.
“Doxing” is commonly used to mean publication, usually on the internet, of personal information about somebody, especially somebody’s individual identity and whereabouts, with the intent of harassing, shaming or taking revenge on that person.
But that’s not the definition in the new law. The law is over-broad, going far beyond the malicious conduct normally associated with doxing. To understand, imagine doing any of the following -– things you would think surely could not expose you to liability for doxing. Then we will check through what the law says is required to make you liable, which probably will surprise you.
You write on social media, “Look at Sam Smith’s Facebook page. He says he couldn’t care less about the victims
happiness in admin land; Wed, 16 August 2023 19:00
Just down in the basement checking the admin logs after reviewing the "User Activity" (link at the bottom of the main page) and I had to laugh.
time after time to the registration page the bots and spiders go.
At least I presume they are Bots (my worst nightmare is unknowingly being caught in my own "hellhole" because of some grevious error I've made). Yesterday before I turned registration on, I was getting hundreds of errors a day, every day and the were increasing.
Mostly for not completing registrration or COPPA a few denying links because they wern't registered/permitted and such. today I had 4 And I knew the source of them (my testing wifi elsewhere to test functions on a different computer).
You would think that in almost 20 years I would have had more than just a hand full of registered users
But you would be wrong, but I imagine you'd be wrong for the wrong reasons. we don't know what we don't know, but some of us want to know Who what When Where and the all important Why?.
But for right now happiness is a "Bug lite and a cold BEER." ..... now thats funnier now than it used to be.
