Gnat in a Whirlwind
Everytime I have to deal with a bureaucracy I feel so much like a Gnat in a Whirlwind, Buffeted on all sides by forces I bairly comprehend, let alone understand fully.

However I am no Gnat! I am a Man full grown, a natural born American Citizen, an old Corps Veteran, Head of my household and I will stand against the abuse of the whirlwind.

Over the last week I have heard several statements, from Public employees that I believe are wrong. I'll give them that a couple of these may be legaly right. But are they Moraly, Socialy right and Justified.

Has any one person in government, asked "Should We", and who said yes?

I have asked Who: With no clearly Articulated anwer. I have asked What: And recieved papers, and shown pictures and recieved a better discription. I have asked When: But I still don't know. I have asked Where: Yet the answer was unknown. And I have asked WHY: and was told Baseball fields (Though I hope they were Joking).

What I was not told was the applicable law they were applying. No reference to the Illinois Compiled Statuates at all, even when asked.

So is this a matter of Misfeasance, Malfeasance, or Nonfeasance? Or is it an indication of a pattern and practice that developed over years. And of course I could be wrong about everything I think and understand About Government or the law.

This is far from over I'm afraid.

State’s Attorney Reacts To SAFE-T Act Ruling

The Illinois Supreme Court ruled Tuesday, on a vote of 5-2, that the new controversial Illinois SAFE-T Act is constitutional. It goes into effect September 18.

Sixty-five state’s attorneys, including Bond County’s Dora Mann, were part of a lawsuit, arguing the act is unconstitutional. The case went to the Illinois Supreme Court earlier this year.

The act will eliminate cash bail for those arrested in the state. Proponents note that under the act, people can be detained pending trial, only if they pose a threat to the public or are a flight risk.

State’s Attorney Mann was upset about the ruling and was asked about it at Tuesday night’s Bond County Board meeting. She said Illinois will be the first state in the nation to eliminate cash bail. She said while she will follow the law, she believes this move will be detrimental to the state. Full Story

I'm not sure what scares me more, the Saf-t Act or that:

Ok folks they found Trump not guilty, have and continue proving Russia was hoax, apparently everyone lied even the FBI!

Now they upped the ante and are prosecuting him again! More allegations, more States, and that ain't't't all (plays like a sham wow commercial).

Can anyone else read this article with a straight face I can't. I In fact I would add that last I heard Madison, St Claire, and Cook Counties are among the 6 worst Counties for legal procedures in the Nation. But that was a few years ago. they've gotten better right?

Bond County Tax Assessment July 2023

Like many I received a tax assessment notice and I am not pleased!; Tue, 25 July 2023 22:02

From the very first when I saw that the county has raised their estimation of the cash value of my land by some 70%, I've been in a bit of a rile.

Now I am certain there's an error, however I am the one that has to correct it, or at least convince the County that its in error, though I am certain that I can do that, I wonder about all of the other thousands of citizens in the county.

I also wonder what effect this class action lawsuit I hear about would have in the long term, I have not finished reviewing the laws and rules and such, but what I am seeing so far doesn't strike me as having much concern for the citizens.
